CALL FOR PAPERS

All abstract submissions are now closed

The prevalence of myopia in children is increasing worldwide and is often viewed as a major public health problem. This increase has driven a renewed interest in myopia control research in children. The 2nd GOMCC poster program offers scientists, educators, optometrists and clinicians an opportunity to exchange the latest information in myopia control and orthokeratology. To encourage research in this exciting fields, only posters related to the fields of and will be considered.

 

 

  1. Abstract Submission and Registration
    Online abstract submission opens on 1 March 2019 and will close on 27 August 2019. 

     

  2. Submission Timeline
    Call for Papers Opens              -      1 April 2019 
    Submission Deadline               -      27 August 2019 
    Announcement of Results       -      3 September 2019 
    Confirmation by Authors         -      10 September 2019 

     

  3. Structure of Abstracts
    a.  Category A: Original Scientific Research 
    b.  Category B: Case Report

     

  4. Instructions
    a.  The Scientific Committee will comprise expert reviewers on the fields of optometry.  All abstracts will be assessed and evaluated by independent expert reviewers.

b. The result will be announced by 3 Sep 2019 whether your abstract has been accepted and assigned for Poster Presentation.  

c.  The poster presentation session will start with moderators viewing each of the posters, presenters then briefly summarise their poster to the moderators. The presentation and Q&A duration is 3mins + 2mins each presentation.

d. The decision of the Scientific Committee is final. No appeal will be considered.

 

Abstract Format

a.  All Abstracts will be submitted using the Microsoft Word 2013 with Font: Times New Roman and Font size :12.
b.  Abstracts must be submitted in English (UK), not exceeding 350 words.
c.  The material for the presentation should be unpublished and original.
d.  All the abstracts must be submitted in the following format:
